Each year, LBL Philanthropy organizes our “We Care – Artwork Competition” to empower young children living in impoverished communities and suffering from mental health issues. Often, impoverished children are overlooked and unable to enjoy the same activities other children have access to. Our competition ensures children of all demographics and circumstances are able to participate in these activities and experience happiness. The significance of creating art is evident through its enrichment of creativity and self-expression, these benefits include: relieving stress, encouraging creative thinking, boosting self-esteem and stimulating communication. Hence, our art competition plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of young people who may otherwise be unable to foster their creativity. Moreover, this serves as an important part of art therapy by allowing individuals to express suffering in a safe way and lifting the emotional burden of living in poverty. Thus, it allows relief and growth for children experiencing mental illness.
